Colum as a "full" man would have been a force to be reckoned with indeed. I have always wondered if Colum, had he been able, would have pulled a sort of Lord Lovat move and found some way to come out on top no matter which side would have won. Most likely though the clan would still have suffered under the English, one way or another, but maybe Leoch might have been saved at least.
