Hey Norman...

I just have one comment... OFTEN at least here in the US when people are going out to gather cows etc...they do DRIVE to the destination (whatever section the cows are housed on) and then take the horses out of the trailer and head to the hills gathering and moving the cows...while back in the day people didn't have the luxury of F350's and horse trailers we do at this time and usually we use them to our (and our dogs/horses) advantages... When I think of a farm dog v livestock dog I think of the former hanging out at the house watching the valueables in the outbuildings and whatnot and the latter out running with me and the livestock...or in the case of an LGD I think of the two or three dogs laying around watching the flock/heard and moving along with them on their tireless search for more grass.
