Subject: No Rest For The Dead, Part 1

Teke entered Gwen'Thar with nothing but her horse and her sword on her back. She looked tired, but still appeared formidable enough that she passed through the settlement without harassment. She wore only light armor, chain mail and a leather jerkin, and kept her black hair tied in a pony tail at the back of her neck. It was a cold night, and she could see her breath as she stopped in front of the tavern. She wished she could rest in a local Inn, but she knew there wouldnt be time.
She dismounted from her horse, and gave a coin to a stableboy that took the horse for her. She cautiously entered the tavern. Inside, the tavern was alive with ruckus. Warriors and travelers were having a good time with drink and song, and for them, the louder the better. Teke looked around the room and approached the bar. A few people glanced at her as she made her way through the tavern. When she arrived, the barkeep said nothing and just looked at her expectantly.
"I'm looking for some people." She bluntly said to the barkeep.
"There are many people here." The barkeep grunted. "Take your pick."
"I'm not here to fight with your patrons. I'm here to enlist them." She replied loud enough to be heard by most in the tavern. People began to quiet down.
"How much does it pay?" One man yelled out, as others laughed.
"There is a town," Teke began, "that needs the aid of warriors such as yourselves. Its being attacked by a most unnatural group of priests."
Many in the room laughed, and one warrior called out, "They're called missionaries. Just tell them to go away." More laughter.
Teke fixed a determined look on her face. "There is a greater threat. They are raising an army of the dead. By attacking this farming town, they are swelling their ranks. If we do not stop them now, it will not be long before they march on Gwen'Thar."
The room was now silent, all laughter ceased. Not out of fear, but out of the prospect of a promising adventure.
"I will go to this farming town of Telima, and i will fight these preists and their undead soldiers. Who among you is brave enough to come with me?"
