Terina answered the phone before her father could get to it.
Terina: "Hello?"
Talib: "Did you do it?"
Terina: "No.."
Talib: "Terina, he's no pansy, he can deal with a little break up" He's definitely no pansy. Terina thought thinking of what had happened that day.
Talib: "Terina? You there?"
Terina: "Um hmm.."
Talib: "So?"
Terina: "I'm not going to do it Talib. I don't care what you say, I happen to love Stevie and there is nothing you or anyone else can do to change my mind!"
Talib: "Terina! You what? Love him?!? What the hell are you talking about? Since when?"
Terina: "Goodbye Talib"
Talib: "Terina! Talk to me!"
She hung up

Terina walked through the halls in a daze, searching the faces, finally she found him in a group of people, as usual. She wiggled her way through to reach him.
Stevie: "Hey sexy, where you been? You've been missing my student rally" he smiled and gave her a kiss.
Terina: "But I thought you.." he frowned at her.
Terina: "Oh never mind" she smiled and gave him a hug.
Terina: "I love you Stevie" he looked down into her face and she saw in his the same surprise she'd heard in Talib's voice. Then his face broke into a smug smile.
Stevie: "I love you too baby" he hugged her back and she felt his hands make their way to her butt to give it a squeeze. She felt a shudder rise in her and then pushed it away. She loved Stevie, she wanted this, she wanted Stevie.

Talib: "I don't get it Lamz, she makes no sense"
Lamz: "What woman does" Talib frowned at him.
Talib: "Not helping.."
Lamz: "Sorry"
Talib: "They don't make sense, but I thought I understood her..of all people" Lamz shrugged.
Lamz: "You can't expect to know everything, you guys aren't as close as you once were"
Talib (sarcastically): "Thanks Lamz..really"
Lamz: "I'm just saying.." Lamz started to defend himself.
Talib (angrily): "I know what you're saying" Lamz held his hands up, palms forward.
Lamz: "Sorry, I'll shut up" Talib flopped into the chair across the room from him and ran his hands through his hair.
Talib: "Why would she say that? I know she doesn't love him"
Lamz: "Maybe the same reason you have an endless flow of whores?"
Talib: "They are not 'whores' Lamz, they are my girlfriends and I would appreciate it if you would keep your mouth shut about them, because don't get me started on.."
Lamz: "Ok ok.."
Talib: "What did you mean though?"
Lamz: "You're both so afraid to be alone"
Talib: "I am not!"
Lamz: "Talib, open your mind a little"
Talib: "I'm not afraid to be alone..look at me now..alone and happy"
Lamz: "Right Lib, how come when you have a girlfriend you call Terina once a month, when you don't, you call her daily?"
Talib: "I can't be calling other girls when I already have one"
Lamz: "Please..hasn't stopped you before. What I think it is is that Terina is your security blanket, you either have a woman or you have Terina, you hate to be alone Lib, I know it, everyone who knows you knows it, I bet Terina even knows it. I'm sure she doesn't think your calling schedule is like it is because you lose your phone.."
Talib: "That's not true! And what does any of it have to do with Terina!"
Lamz: "Remember Ricky? Terina had Ricky for the past four years, then you were home for those transition months, now its Stevie...but you aren't coming home again for a few months.."
Talib: "I'm not listening to you Lamz! You don't know what you're talking about!" Talib got up and stormed out of the room, but he wasn't fast enough to miss Lamz’s last comment.
Lamz: "You shouldn't hide from it Lib, you and Terina need each other."
