Chapter 2
Stevie: "Are you ok? I've never seen anyone so wrapped up in their laundry" he joked, pushing her gently to wake her from her daydream. Terina forced a smile and allowed him to kiss her lightly.
Terina: "It's nothing, I'm just tired"
Stevie: "Tired eh?" he grinned mischievously, running his left hand up her side to cup her breast,
Stevie: "I can fix that"
Terina pushed him away "Not now Stevie..I'm busy" he looked shocked and she felt so sorry for him.
I bet he's never felt rejection. She thought. Poor guy, doesn't know what he's missing..
She put on a smile for him and gave him a kiss.
Terina: "Maybe later k? I promised mom I'd get this done" God, Talib was right, I am too soft hearted.
Stevie had a wounded look on his face, but surprisingly just nodded his head and went back to his homework. Terina shrugged and went back to her laundry.

TD "By the way Teri., Talib called, when I told him you were with Stevie he seemed upset..."
Terina: "What? What exactly did he say dad?"
TD: "Um, hello Mr. A, may I please speak to Terina...not there? Do you know where she.."
Terina: "Dad!! I mean, the important parts!"
TD: "Oh, ok, he wanted to know why you were with Stevie, and he said he thought you'd agreed with him and I don't know..I can't remember!"
Terina: "Thanks dad" she got up and gave him a peck on the cheek and then went up to her room.

Talib: "Hel.."
Terina:"Talib"
Talib: "Terina"
Terina: "Hi"
Talib: "Yeah"
Terina: "What?"
Talib: "Why?"
Terina: "I know I should break up with him but I just can't bear to do it, you don't know what its like Talib, he's so innocent, ok, so maybe nobody else sees it, but he's never been rejected, he's always had what he wants, I don't want to be the one to hurt him, I know that you think I'm being stupid and I should just do it and you'll be disappointed in me and everything but.."
Talib: "Terina.."
Terina: "I know, you can't believe me"
Talib: "Yes, and I think.."
Terina: "..that I am not seeing him clearly"
Talib: "Yes..and also, you don't want to hurt him but.."
Terina: "..look how he's hurting me.."
Talib: "Exactly! You're.."
Terina: "..wasting away precious moments of my life by trying not to hurt him.."
Talib: "I really wish you'd stop doing that Terina, can't a guy finish his sentence?"
Terina: "I'm sorry"
Talib: "It's ok, besides, it just goes to show that you agree with me and know I'm right"
Terina: "I can't"
Talib: "Can too"
Terina: "Don't start with me"
Talib: "Why not? I'm a million miles away"
Terina: "Batman"
Talib: "What?"
Terina: "Million miles away but I can still smell you"
Talib: "That's 'cause I dropped my cologne on your carpet last time I was there dweeb"
Terina: "Oh, yeah..I can't do it"
Talib: "Just do it" He hung up.

Terina hesitantly approached his locker.
Terina: "Stevie?" she said softly, but he didn't hear. She was about to try again when he slammed his locked shut, making her jumped. He whirled around and almost walked into her, his face contorted with fury.
Stevie yelled: "Terina!" she stepped back quickly, how had he known she was going to break up with him? What was he going to do to her?
He grabbed her arm and dragged her along beside him as he walked through the halls.
Stevie: "Where have you been? I've been looking all over for you! I am so mad, you'd never believe what the coach did today!" she relaxed a little, he didn't know.
Stevie: "He promoted Keith! He made me second string!! ME!!" his voice rang out through the halls and people scuttled out of the way, but one poor freshmen was too slow. Stevie caught him by his collar and pulled him onto his tiptoes.
Stevie: "Look at me minor! Do I look like second string to you? DO I??" he started to shake the frightened younger boy like a fanatic.
Terina screamed: "Stevie! What the hell are you doing?!!? Are you crazy! Put him down! You could be expelled for that! It's not his fault!" She afraid of what he might do to the boy, she pulled at Stevie's arm until he let the kid go and stalked off with Terina following him like sheep to their shepherd.
Stevie: "You can't understand Terina, you never come to any of the games! When you have a player like me you don't let him go!" he whirled around and grabbed her by the shoulders.
Stevie: "DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME TERINA? YOU DON'T LET ME GO!!"
Oh my God, he knows! He's going to kill me..
Terina stared into his wild eyes and willed him to let get. She felt her body begin to shake.
Suddenly out of nowhere he started kissing her, hard. He was squeezing her so tightly she could barely breathe. She tried to push him away but he was too strong..
And then it was over. He looked up and down the halls successfully and then walked away, leaving her standing there like an unwanted prop in a play.
