If the insurance companies weren't afraid of a government plan, the competition, why are they fighting so hard to kill it?

What people have to keep in mind, insurance companies can selectively pick and choose who they'll insure and if an insured suddenly requires costly treatment, they can invent a reason for denying treatment. You don't think part of your insurance moeny goes for lobbying, marketing, paying CEO salaries, infalted bonuses? Think again! The government doesn't have to pay any of those fees. In the process of lobbying, they're grossly distorting facts and playing on the fear factor.

Our grandson's wife has had one operation as a result of discovery she had a cancerous tumor. Now they've found another but the insurance company has said they want her to see another oncologist. What might be the results of delayed treatment?
