Claire,

Evoloution is a not necessarily a touchy subject for everyone but it gets people stirring. If there is one thing I noticed about people up at the forum. Yes, up I am from SC!!!! Which probably means I am a hooded racist. (GOOD LORD!!!) Anyways, about people at the forum. I noticed that people try their hardest to be so politcally correct. They try so hard not to step on other people's toes. In my opinion the majority of people at the convention thing were not very opinionated. Why? Because they sounded exactly like eachother. I found myself being the only one at the whole place who actually thought on my own. Now, people will respond by saying. " I think on my own!!!" I noticed a lot of people that talked like George W. Bush, and Al Gore. It seemed that the students got their opinions from someone else who also received them from someone else. This ties into the theory of evoloution. See, 2000 years ago (I believe this with absolute truth) a man named Jesus Christ died on a tree paying the ultimate price for my salvation. His father is my father and I listen to him. It says very clearly in Genesis 1:26-27:'Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds and the air, over the livestock, over all the, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.' To me it says there that God created us. There was no big bang theory there was no evoloutinary process, and I believe that if God wanted us to believe in that than he would mention the whole idealogie. Your question of belief in genetics and dinosaurs are extremely good questions. I have trouble answering those. Because dinosaurs are hard to disprove. You said you weren't a very religous person, but I would wager to say that you know the principles of the bible and the ideas that are expressed in the first 6 days. Now, nobody nows how long those days were, and what the time was in between those. It is possible that it could have been an extremely long time in which those days took place. I am not sure. For that reason, I am unsure about dinosaurs and there existence. I know they find bones and all, but that doesn't mean I have to believe it keep in mind. Your question about genetics. I would have to say it is apparent that kids receive traits from their parents. I will probably put myself in a hole by saying that, but oh well. Because I am not a scientist I cannot answer that with absolute reasoning. I want you to know that Charles Darwin, the inventor of the theory of evoloution, denied his theory on his death bed and believe wholly in the bible. To me the theory of evoloution is what it is. A theory. All in all I can't wait til' heaven to find the answers to many of these questions, but for now I will choose to believe what it says in the bible. For that reason I don't believe in the theory of evoloution.
