My recurring "band dream" (not too often, thankfully) is of turning up in the band hall without my flute and trying to lay low so I won't get called on to play and thus incur The Wrath of Bob. I then remember, "Hey, I've already graduated, I'm not even in band anymore," but am told emphatically that that's not an acceptable excuse....

The moment graduation was over in 1977, my dad sold my trombone. But in 1984 my husband bought me a new Holton trombone just like the one I had in high school. I play in brass ensembles at church. Playing my horn brings back alot of good memories.
