does it just INFURIATE anyone else besides me that we're having to live through a fashion revival of the 70s? If I have to buy my daughters one more peasant blouse or pair of bell bottoms, I'm going to lose it ;)

You're so right! Those fashions looked pretty ridiculous the first time around and haven't improved as a fashion revival. Rather than trying to point out the obvious "fashion disaster" facts to your daughters, show them the old photos of everyone wearing those hip duds, commenting excitedly on how much your girls "look just like Mom and her friends" (= "old geezers" now!) did at that age. Hopefully you won't have to buy too many more peasant blouses, hiphugger bellbottoms, and fringed macrame vests and belts after that.

But if that tactic doesn't work, try reminding them that photos of them wearing such groovy gear will haunt them well into adulthood and indeed forever -- just like the Vintage Photos of all of us Children of the Seventies are resurfacing now....

or, just get a mental picture of ME in coca cola bellbottoms. That oughtta do it right there.

Is is just me, or do the high school chicks of today look SO much older and (sic) sleazier than yall did back in the 70s? not that thats a bad thing........
