Crania lifting at the sound of her whicker, he snorts back before pausing in his constant chewing to stare after her as she moves off towards the gate. Curiosity spurring him forward, he slides into a trot to catch up with the mare then slows to a brisk walk, whipcord washing over his back in an effort to coax the flies to go bother some other unfortunate equine. Momentum brought to a full halt, he watches with perked auds as she works at the chain that ultimately kept the horses boxed in. Glancing at the mare then his gate and back again, he moves up to his latch and lips at it, his movements a lot more clumsy and amateurish than hers. Quite frustrated at the chain, he nips at it but sharply jerks his head back when the cold metal clangs against his teeth. Furious that the inanimate object had dared try and defy him, the stallion pivots smoothly upon his foreflints to lash out at the gate with his hindhooves, not caring in the least that he might very well be injuring himself and killing the fence along with the latch.
