I have always thought Michael didn't deserve Nikita. He is the more sympathetic character because he showed movement from bad guy to good. That's much more fascinating than someone who is right all along.

Michael didn't stop using Nikita after the first few seasons. He continued to use her in Season Five. Instead of working with her to save Adam, he deceived her once again in order to kidnap her. What is it going to take for this dude to stop lying to her? He is so used to using her feelings for him against her that he can't even conceive of any other way to handle a situation. Sounds pretty dense, eh?

In this story I see nothing but the cruel side of Michael. While using the same dialog, this story isn't really comparable to what Nikita did for Michael at the end of Season Four. In the episode, she betrayed Section and Center, she carried out a dangerous mission against a whole roomful of the enemy, right under the noses of Section. She risked her own life and saved Michael's when he had no intention to survive. She gave him the option of escaping and she sacrificed her own feelings by lying to him so that he would put aside his urge to save her butt yet again.

In this story, he risks nothing, gets a piece of beautiful ass, gets his rocks off and dumps her. The only thing missing was the line, "Thanks for the fling. The sex was great!"
