Personal highlights for me (in date order):

 Adams "Harmonium" (1st night)

 Sally Beamish premiere (29 July)

 BBC Symphony Chorus Late Night Prom (18 August)

 RVW "Sea Symphony" (10 September)

 Last Night (you know you love it really)

I thought accents were quite easily done – try this:

Järvi

This may be an old topic, but can anyone explain why there are two BBC spellings, "Rakhmaninov" and "Rachmaninov", the former more scholarly rendering used at the Proms and the latter at other BBC events? How does "Tchaikovsky" get past the proof readers?
