While it is true that all of the candidates running have their share of drawbacks. This is hardly anything new. No one wants to run for council and have to deal with a harsh public. That being said, The reason no one got endorsed was because the rules that outlined how someone could be endorsed were near impossible. Candidates had to reach 51% of the vote. With five candidates that would have been very difficult. In past years it was winner take all and based on majority. In two rounds of voting Mclymore and Luna got the most. Mclymore got the highest in the first round and Luna got the most in the second round. Both rounds they were the top two. They were consistently the candidates with the most votes and rightfully so. If a majority votes system would have been in place as it should have been. Both candidates would have been endorsed. Mclymore unlike the false first comment suggested. He came within inches of getting the nomination in the first round. But in the second round he did not. Mclymore and Luna are far and wide the best candidates of the bunch and instead of arguing about how bad all the candidates are. We have a choice. We can either work with them or we can Continue to complain from the side lines.
