This is rich. That building was built with IDA funds for a schuyster named Walter Lambert/Northeast Development. That the city would have to pay anything for that failed development is a crime. But of course the idiot mayor knows nothing about Newburgh history. Forget about the location, just look at the access. Those houses are going to be worthless when they realize how loud and obnoxious police cars can be. As it stands now there is little disturbance where they are. But the ideal spot for a fire station and police dept is the lot next to Motor Vehicles on Bway. Selling the decrepit public service building to a hotel and using the money to help pay for the relocation would be the ideal solution.
