Now If we can just teach them darn Missouri boys to render salutes when Officers pass. The Texas 2nd Infantry Officers led by Col Rogers himself, passed right by the guardpost and all the guards wanted to do was jaw jack.
With much delight I proceeded to chew up one side of private Yearby and down the other. I just wish I had been a 2nd LT so i could have run him twice around the encampment at high port arms, heheheh.......Dusty
