yes steve, i am a referee.

Clearly all the refs in NRL are, or should be up to the same standard, and therefore 2 referees shouldn't have any bearing on the game as opposed to one referee. I think Robert Finch seems to think it is a good idea, hence why he has been trialling it, and who knows it may implented in the NRL in a few years time.

It also means there is more opportunites there for more refs to break through the scene, as you would need double the amount of refs each week.

I dont think consistency is the issue steve, i think the main thing is that they have to get used to refereeing with another referee.
