Subject: NRL Laws Quiz #3 2006

After doing the NRL laws quiz i noticed question 7

Q7: An attacking player attempting to score a try is forced touch in goal. The tough Judge waves his flag to indicate that the player has gone touch in-goal but the referee believes that the player had grounded the ball in goal first

I answered 20 metre restart because they way I have been tought and told is you can not over rule the touch judge and the touch judge is the sole judge of touch and touch and goal. I actually had this happen in a semi final and i ruled 20 metre restart because you cannot over rule the touch judge on touch in goal.

THEN I saw the answer to this question

Answer Q7: Try (prior decision, but make sure you're right!)

Does everyone agree with this and I am just wrong or is this just an NRL rule, because I just dont get it.

Thanks

Luke
