Theresa,
I am impressed by your achievements too!

I appreciate art and photography, though I do not paint or take pictures. I would enjoy dance, except that I have no time to learn more after a very short introductory course in flamenco dance. I enjoy singing "karaoke" and would like to form a student acapella group one day. I had not try composing and improvisation. Most of my musical knowledge is self-taught (I have only a grade 5 ABRSM theory certification). I do not consider those short courses I took in university as enough for me to perform well... more practices will be needed, if I can find time. And you're a principal part in "Dracula"? Wow, so what role were you playing then? Did you get bitten by the vampire? Is that the cause of your chronic hives? LOL.

Glad to hear that acupuncture helped you in recovery of injury. I have faith in TCM as a powerful adjunct to conventional medicine. I am learning more about herbals each day too. I would love to learn different herbal systems (eg. Wiccan, Native American, and others).

As for your chronic hives, try checking out if you are hypersensitive to something. The cure could be as simple as changing shampoo, changing detergent you used for washing clothes, or avoiding certain food or exposure to wind (hives are considered "wind" ailments in TCM). It could also be a sign of under-nourishment, especially of the blood (in TCM, "weak blood" can cause the arising of "internal wind"). Try vitamin B complex supplement, especially if you are maturing (as we mature, our intestines do not absorb vitamin B well, especially vitamin B12). If your skin intergrity seems to be weak (eg, ulcers spontaneously appearing in the mouth), you may try vitmin B2 supplements. As for herbals, I can't truly prescribe over internet as I cannot see your face colour, see your tongue coating and feel your pulse constitution. TCM principles stress on treating the individual person, not the disease.

You are right.... the Toa Payoh food centre is no longer there. In fact, the place has changed so much that you may not recognise it anymore!

Blessed be!
Alvin
