• He nodded at that and watched her head up the stairs before he leaned down to snap the leash on the dog and take her outside for a bit, letting her get some energy out and go potty and all that while he smoked a cigarette. He instructed, heading out the door and jogging down the stairs in his boxers to the kitchen. He grabbed a beer out of the fridge and took a long drink before he went to the cabinet underneath where they kept the dishes - where all the canned goods where. He pursed his lips as he searched through the cans till he found the hollow one where he had been hiding the ring for quite some time now. It was a white gold thin band with a simple but exquisite marquise diamond. Heading back up the stairs, the ring in one palm and the other palm wrapped around his beer, he came back around to where she was sitting and he sat the beer down on the nightstand.
