"As we would be honored and grateful to have you in our service." Tevion responded with a slight dip of his head. "At the moment, we are rather short-handed in the medical field, my father being one of the few who understands such arts. He is one of those among us who is old enough to remember the times of unrest before this new challenge came about, and during the great peacetime, such a craft was widely abandoned with the reasoning that we would never again need know it."

Eyes of marine hues lingered on the battle-marred armour of his companions as the mind filled with snapshots of bloody combat. But they fight the right reasons. It is no petty quest for honour. he reminded himself as his gaze reverted to Lenariah.

"Yet here we are now, with our swords and bows and spears. I suppose I should have known that treaties and oaths of blood would never hold. So, we are at fault for a lack of watchfulness and too much trust in a second party, which now has errupted in a bitter feud to defend our home." He shifted his weight foreward, elbows propped on knees and fingers laced beneath his chin. "Celefé has not been training to be a 'Wraith simply to better herself; she sees each of her improvements as a better chance for her people's survival. That is why she works tirelessly. If her personal relationships suffer, they shall continue to do so until she is sure her people are safe. It is a devotion I find myself to frightened to embrace, but I am still proud to have such a courageous sibling."

Standing up, Tevion sighed and limbered his unused muscles. For a brief moment, his eyes fluttered shut and concentration swiftly crossed his face. Then with a smile, he reached for Lenariah's hand to bring her upright.

"We've still a while to go, and I am sure everyone is anxious to see their families again. We can start your lessons when we start again, which I suspect shan't be too long." It was a true enough statment; around them, the cavalry was rising from it's brief respite. "So, our first lesson: grooming." As he spoke, the spectacular forms of his midnight stallion and the copper mare appeared beside them. From a leather saddlebag, Tevion procured the basic needs; a curry-comb, a soft brush, and a hoofpick. Demonstrating on his own steed, the creature seemed to be reading the young lord's mind as it properly reacted to each item.

"You'll have to ask her with the hoofpick," Tevion said as he tossed an errant strand of hair from his face, "but otherwise I'm sure she will stand still." He turned the stiff comb over to Lenariah, and moved to caress the silky forlock of the mare. "At least she should, because I trained her." A small, slightly wolfish grin painted his face.
