 I remember driving there and also to a place called Milk Maid on Central Avenue where they had a toppings bar to make any type of sundae one wanted. It disappeared years ago. I was sad to hear the original Carvel was closing; the story was on NPR. There used to be a Carvel on the Post Road on the border between Port Chester and Byram. I wonder if it still exists? No Carvel store in Springfield, IL nor Dairy Queen, nor other regional or national franchises.
