- Translate Crochet Pattern Diagram -- Linda Kearns, 10:51:15 01/11/17 Wed (host184538633.direcway.com/184.53.33.86)
Found a beautiful snowflake pattern on Pinterest. It is in diagram form which unfortunatly is not my expertise! Then came to find out it is Polish. DEFINATLY not my expertise. I have exhausted all avenues that I am aware of to get these symbols on the diagram translated or better yet get the pattern written out in English.My daughter found a Polish lady online that was kind enough to look at the pattern for us but she indicated the symbols did not look all that famiiar to her.
Any help or any GUESS of where to look would be great!
Many thanks in advance...............Linda Kearns

Hi everyone,
I am new to crochet as I am an avid knitter really but, a accident involving breaking my arm made me take the plunge to learn. I have done 2 easy crochet shawls and a baby cape. Loads of squares an on going project!! I have come across an instruction in a crochet pattern I am not able to do and can find no sites with anything like it. It is from pattern Wendy 1415 and is the crocheted dress. The first line has me stumped as it starts after doing 37 chains, 1 trble (Which is double in USA) into 3rd chain from hook, 2 tr., 1 tr.into ch. before 1st tr., *miss 1 ch., 3 tr. into next 3 ch., 1 tr. back into ch. space before 3 tr., rept from * to end.
Any advice I would really welcome please :-)

Thank you so much for the stethoscope cover pattern. It is the perfect gift for a friend of mine. She is married and they have 5 children. She felt that the Lord was calling her to become a nurse. She graduated last month from nursing school. I made 2 covers and will be giving them to my friend at church on July 10.

Lisa do you have any pear patterns? For my bridal shower 9 years ago my sister decorated the gym at my moms church with pears and put a pear design on my cake for me and my husband being the perfect pear. I would like to find an easy to medium pear pattern if you have any or maybe you could let me know where to find one. The reason I need easy to medium is because I am still kind of a beginner to easy I have done a couple of your medium patterns and I am still working on the chunky ripple afghan which is a medium pattern I believe thanks in advance for anything you might be able to find or tell me where to find one I am not good with the size 10 thread so I would like to do something with just regular yarn

I had seen a crocheted scarf (sort of triangular and not real long) it has "fringe all along the edge. However, the fringe was a chain of maybe 10-15, then worked back and across the row to the other side. It looked like it was all SC between the sides. (maybe worked in back and front loops only). I have searched for a pattern that would be like it with no luck. Anyone know what I am looking for? I would say the peak of the triangle would be no more than 10 or 12 inches deep, and the whole scarf was maybe 24 to 30 inches in length. Not sure of this, just want I have in my mind of what I saw, and that was a few months ago.
Just copies a lot of patterns off here that I can use for small Christmas gifts. Going to go to work on them starting tonight. Thank you to anyone that may have an answer for me, and a very blessed merry Christmas to all.

I am trying to crochet the Charlotte Bronte Cape and don't understand the pattern when it says (in Row 2): "2 dc in the NEXT dc."
Is the "NEXT dc" the dc that the chain is in or is it the next dc? Seems so simple, but I can't seem to get the pattern to work.
Here are the first four rows:
Ch 46.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook,
*2 dc in next ch, dc in each of next 2 ch;
rep from * to end of row (57 dc).
Row 2: Ch 3 (beg ch counts as first dc on this row and on all following rows), turn,
*2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc;
rep from * to last st;
2 dc in last dc, (69 dc).
Row 3: Ch 3, turn
*2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc;
rep from * to last (3) dc, dc in each st to end of row (82 dc ).
Row 4: Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc to end of row.

Lisa, I had a pattern for a knitted dishcloth and now cant come up with it anywhere. Have looked all over for it but havent found it on any of the network sites. Dont remember if it is done on a starting corner and working up to a cerain number of stitches at the middle and then reducing the number of stitches to the final corner. Or maybe it was done with a number of stitches across til you reach the size needed. It was a knit so many stitches, yo knit across the width til you get to a certain number of stitches left and then YO and knit the last number of stitches. It is an easy pattern and would love to have it again. It called for cotton yarn.
Can you help me with this?
Gerry Dick

HELP!
I am looking for a crochet sweater pattern that appeared in a crochet magazine around the late '60's to possible late '70's. If you had ever seen it you would have remembered it for the intricate crochet cables and post stitches. The post stitches covered the lower portion of this sweater and the upper was done in the cable stitches. I at one time had the crochet Magazine that it came in, but for the life of me I can't find it. Any help that you all can give me in finding this pattern - I would greatly appreciate. I made this cardigan for our oldest years ago - It is beautiful!

I am doing a ripple stich afghan and is for a small size. when I get done with this one I want to make the larger size but don't understand what I need to do. the size that I am currently doing is a 42 x 84 I want to make a double/queen. the one I am doing now you 9sc 3sc in next chain 9sc skip 2. the pattern for the larger size says to make it twice as wide (20 ripples) and half as long maybe an extra 100 rows. so my question is do I do 18sc 6sc in next chain 18sc and skip 4 or do I follow the same instructions and chain 309 because this fist pattern says to chain 209 thanks ahead of time for any help you can give me because I am a beginner in crochet don't know a lot of stiches accept single and double crochet

I am looking for a pattern for a crocheted baby blanket, done in a filet crochet. It has a stork in the middle and other baby items around it. It was most likely published mid 1990's.
I do have a photo of one I had made, but I lost the pattern :(

I have an almost full skein of yarn that is soooooo messed up it seems impossible. Too much to throw away, and I'd rather not cut a bunch of short pieces. Can this yarn be resqued Thanks, Becky
