(He arched a brow at Haylie's announcement, and opened his mouth to put up a bit of a fight about it when his friend took over for him. He smirked, it was nice having a friend that had your back. Haylie had a way of announcing to everyone that they didn't live together, when he rarely slept at his own house and most of his belongings were at her apartment. It wasn't his fault she refused to admit they were together. He wasn't sure if it still bothered him right then.. sometimes it did and sometimes he just sort of ignored it. He smiled down at Shay, then picked up a couple of glasses and helped her carry them into the living room for everyone, then joined Haylie on the sofa, scooping up little Chase as he passed him. The kid was positively ape over him, and he loved it.. it was nice being unca keer and being fawned over. He held the boy in his lap and smothered him with kisses and love for a few moments.) Did you hear that buddy? Aunty Haylie thinks we're getting a puppy.. (He said in a baby voice, smirking all the while. Of course they would have the puppy, he just had to be a shit about it for a bit first.) (He watched everything with that quiet, assessing expression as he tended to do, glad that everyone was here for Shay's homecoming.. it only seemed right. Though Braden and Courtney were a definite loss to the evening. He watched Kyrian for a long moment, pleased with the relationship he had developed with his son.. the two of them were downright sickeningly cute at times.. and it made him happy to see Kyr taking on a fatherly role so easily. He was smirking to himself as he put his arms around his wife and welcomed her into the comfort of his arms. It was about time they all gunned for Kyr.. he had sucked up and suffered enough for his mistakes.. and Haylie had to know that too.. she just had a lot of fear to get over.)
