I just found a 1985 children's book, "Fraggle Rock" for granddaughter Kayla...who is right now crazy about the show...as was once her mama. It's not religious of course, but...the show did play on a Sunday in Canada. lol
Currently I am reading a series of novels by the British author "Miss Read." Her novels were set in small English villages in the mid 20th century. I have been scouting them out on the net because they are mainly out of print...and there are several books and two individual series written by the same author. I intend to read the lot of them! :-# :-)

What are Miss Read's stories about?

Joan

Dora Saint who wrote under the name "Miss Read," (still alive and elderly) was a teacher by profession. She wrote a few series of books centered in fictional villages (but in the real Cotswolds) in England during the mid 20th century. They are very authentic of place and character...and most charming. :-)
