Subject: Are you doing anything for Advent?

I found an Advent wreath at a yard sale, and I put it on my dining room table. There is a Bible study at church for the next 3 Thursdays that I'm going to try to get to.

What do you do during Advent? Special readings? Advent wreath? Bible studies?

The first time I saw an advent wreath was when they placed one in the lobby where I went to high school. Before that I never saw one. A friend of my mom's who is 78 years old said that when she was growing up ( she attended catholic school) they didn't have an advent wreath. She wasn't sure if the advent wreath is something that came about after Vatican II, or when it came about.

The custom has been recently revived, I think.
