Subject: Catie, what day is your fast day?
You were saying that your church has one fast day a year. What day is it? I'm going to guess that it's Good Friday.

Some do enter in to a fast on Good Friday. There's no hard written rule. The day we all agree on fasting or have in the past is the National Day of Prayer. It's nothing traditional from biblical times. Just a time we are all in agreement. Everyone is free to fast before and after that time as well. Sometimes on a special occassion, such as an event taking place, the pastor might ask for the congregation to agree to a day of prayer and fasting.

So since I'm supposed to do something that is sacrificial, I picked yours to give up. It hurts the most. I'm giving up both Walton forums, but yours is the one I'll miss--already do.
Does your church do the stations of the cross?

can be discussed there. I enjoy getting to know folks for more than just their love of The Waltons. It seems to open up more areas for discussion. I've grown close to folks on my forum too. How kind everyone was when they learned about my Terry. I received so many cards and notes. It really was touching. Of course some of those cards were from Walton forum folks too.
