Well the bible is full of God's covenant. -- catie, 05:27:24 08/17/07 Fri [1] (h69.42.91.75.ip.alltel.net/75.91.42.69)
That's what a lot of the old scriptures are about, God's covenant with man. Covenants abound, they're with Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, ...then the new covenant was established in the new testament. I thought you were meaning there is a specific religious group that goes by that name. I know only a bit about the Calvinistic teachings though.

I found this -- Joan, 05:26:19 08/17/07 Fri [1] (ip68-0-253-131.ri.ri.cox.net/68.0.253.131)

There's a short paragraph at the top, and there's a longer entry that follows.
Pretty interesting.

Interesting -- catie, 05:44:17 08/17/07 Fri [1] (h69.42.91.75.ip.alltel.net/75.91.42.69)
I guess I should read it more carefully and in depth but from what you posted and what I read, I don't have a problem with it. Does your church lean toward that or is in the group that criticizes the teaching?

I honestly have no idea. It's not a strong theme, so I'm guessing that our pastor isn't big on it.
I think this is more for the theologians than it is for the parish priests and parishoners.
