Subject: A Question on Cheating

Bonds tied the homerun record. Should his name be included in the record books?

...there should be an asterisk placed next to his name. Having played sports myself, I can personally attest to the fact that cheating and dirty play occur from time-to-time. However, never in the history of the game of baseball has there been such an egregious level of cheating, where an individual has gone so far as to alter his own body, at the risk of his own demise, just to hit a baseball. Shame on the Commish's office for looking the other way while a number of players took 'roids!

Having said that, its difficult to ruin America's Pastime. As we speak, there is a scenario where both my beloved Cubs and the AZ D'Backs can make the playoffs...and the dreaded Yankees may be afforded the all-to-rare opportunity to watch from the comfort of their own homes. LoL.

Still, all this pales in comparison to some horrible things that happen in the world. This week, our thoughts and prayers go out to folks in Minn for the tragedy of the bridge collapse.

Hope all's well with all of you. Time to watch Chelsea play Man Utd in the Charity Shield Classic. Take care, God Bless,

Phil from AZ
