I also refer to God as the Father, which makes him a HE in my book, but I have looked into other religions who use the pronoun IT because they say that God has no gender. I personally cannot go around calling God an IT. In our religion, God did come down to earth as a human before anyone else was on the earth. If anyone is interested in learning a bit of what we believe go to Mormon.org
