Thanks for your clearifying comments. But still I get the impression that the surgion did somthing that was not approprriate, or did a great mistake during the surgery.

First of all, it looks like you did not get any real diagnossis. If he said just "something wrong", he surely tried to hide something.

Also I find it odd that he did not repair the pancreas, unless it was totally affected by some progressive disease.

And removing so many neighbouring parts to get access, looks really strange.

H possibly needed to moboilize the other organs, but cutting them out, does not seem approprriate.

So I strongly susopect the surgion did not have the skill to do this surgery properly and made some gross shortcuts, or that he wanted the organs for some urevealed purpose.

This is at least my opinion.
