I was stationed in Vicenza, Italy at the time of the fallout. I went TDY for two weeks right after the explosion to Frankfurt, Germany. I have undergone two surgeries due to thyroid cancer. I am now researching so I will be able to collect disability from the US. I am just starting my research after some information I obtained. I believe without a doubt, my cancer is directly related to Chernobyl. I fear there are many more people who are suffering the results of the fallout. We need to let others know. It seems there is alot of cover-up
