She used an elbow to lift herself off her side and back into almost upright position. It was made easier by the absence of the bottle in her hand. Watching him drink with a contented smile, she shrugged offhandedly. "Yeah, I guess I just got here. I haven't worked out the nitty-gritty details yet, but in time they will work out amongst themselves and be revealed to me, at a later date of their choosing," she rambled quite incoherently. Where had that bottle gone? She was beginning to mourn it's loss, when, all of a sudden, it was in her hand once more! Just like magic! "There you are!" she said gleefully to the bottle, and took a gulp. Then she turned back to her companion.

"But you came here a year ago, from Israel, yeah? Did you know, I've never even been out of the country? I'd love to travel. I always wanted to travel. When I was little, I did ballet, because I thought I would get to go all over the world, all abroad...everywhere..." Another gulp. "If I'd had been really good, I could have dance in France or Russia or somewhere." She punctuated this somewhat lofty statement with a long swig of vodka. "I used to dance en pointe, too... I bet I could still do it..." Her mind made up, she stood up quickly, still brandishing the bottle in one hand. "Oh, you had better take this," she laughed and thrust the bottle at him. With some difficulty, she got her feet into position, wobbling a little on unsteady legs. She began giggling. Nonetheless she lifted her arms to the side. This felt so perverse and bizarre to her, doing these movements that she had practiced in childhood while drunk, that she giggled even harder, and broke her concentration. She doubled over, laughing hysterically. Momentarily she pulled herself together and looked at Ezra sheepishly. "This time I'm gonna do it," she promised, and readied herself once again. After a brief pause, she moved with surprising grace and began to spin, balanced on one foot with her arms out and her other leg extended. On her second spin, she rose for an instant on to the tips of her toes. She was glad she was drunk because that probably would hurt. She kept spinning, gaining a little momentum and confidence as the muscle memory of dancing on point returned to her, but she stumbled drunklenly sideways after her fourth spin.

"Voila," she cried triumphantly, performing a quick curtsy and promptly sitting back down. "I think that earned me another drink," she said with a laugh, leaning over to take the bottle from him. She drank and then examined the bottle. They'd done good work. Less than a fourth of the bottle remained.
