She'd lowered her head to protect her neck as best she could as she tried with all of her effort to shift. She wouldn't stand a chance with the cat as a canine, and seconds were crucial. She felt claws dig into her shoulder and braced for the tearing of flesh when suddenly, the cat's weight shifted from her, taking it's vicious claws with it.

She raised her head, seeing the Wolf take hold of the feline's neck in a ferocious attack.

He'd almost had her--had in fact managed to sink his claws. His experience with lupes had been limited, and he had certainly not been expecting the heaviness and strength of the one that launched at him. He was driven from the dog, massive frame stumbling and almost going down. He righted himself at the last minute, though, just as teeth pierced his ear and the side of his neck. He gave a scream of rage, striking out with a large paw to loosen the animals grip as his blood began to flow. He backed, twisting, trying to free his most vulnerable area from the wolf's grip.

Finally, heat engulfed her...and in a blaze, she was back to being a much smaller version of the rouge. She didn't hesitate, launching herself at him as he struck out at Craig. She managed to sink long fangs deeply into the animals flank as he tried to shake Craig. Blood flowed in a warm torrent, and the animal wrenched again, eliciting a flow from Craig's grip. A massive paw almost caught her shoulder, but the fight was quickly melting from the creature. He'd obviously been unprepared for the strength of Craig, and hadn't expected to be matched with another cougar as well.
