He stood like a stoic statue as she rubbed against him, though he took pleasure enough to tug at her ear before she managed to step clear of him. He waited a moment before shaking himself, knowing she was clear of the light mist that came up off his mostly dry coat. His world was still spinning a bit when the cat made his move, and the yelp from Lisey had him moving before he had time to register the attack.

His massive bulk slammed into the cats shoulder, teeth sinking into the side of its neck even as heavy claws raked at its back and shoulder. He thrashed his head, regripping higher up, hoping to get an ear under his powerful teeth. He snarled and growled, yanking and shoving with all of his two hundred pounds, if he could draw the creatures attention he knew he could kill it. Any wounds he took would be gone in a few days, but he had no idea if the little shifter had anything near the same skills. He had to assume not until proven otherwise.
