Verda remained back for a while, watching the female carefully. She was watching for a change of any sort in the fox's demeanor... none seemed forthcoming, so Verda shifted, stepped into a draft that carried her scent to the fox. The energy and enthusiasm with which Lyla bounded to her feet and turned to face her amused Verda, but there was no sign of the emotion on her features or in her stance as she moved forward. HSe halted a few feet from the girl, and spoke though her lips did not move, her head tilted slightly to the side. You come into the tunnels searching for us... what do you want? there was a tremor of a threat in the mind communication, making it absolutely clear that Verda was no bitch to be messed with.
