Did your Pulsar come with the build manuals? If so page 64 of the fuselage construction manual gives some details - 1/4" hinge screw.

Having said that I have a feeling my 582 Pulsar has a castellated nut like yours, possibly a design mod to avoid the risk of the screw becoming detached in flight?

My Pulsar has a nick cut into one side of the rudder to allow access to the hinge assembly, & I did add a spacer washers because my rudder had excessive (vertical only) play.

Unless anyone has any more info I'll check it out next time I go to the airfield.
