| Carlson, who got us in debt with lawyer fees. 2nd was Shantel who put on the worst Anniversary pageant in the history of pageantry and the whole world saw how low we had sunk, and don't forget Regina who kept forcing girls to sign all kinds of damning contracts without being allowed to have anyone review them and non payment of scholarships for a Scholarship pageant is unforgiveable. Robin put on a decent production but is only interested in making a coin, takes out the word Scholarship, and absconds with over $200,000 and demands access to all states checking accounts is just too scandalous for words. For Glenn to do better He has to prove he is not in this to use the girls for $$ and further rob this crippled program. He need solid leadership, (recommend a strong State Director to show him the ropes, put on a solid show with reasonable priced tickets. Get rid of the "Opportunity bs" and pay the girls. - While I am still on the fence about Robin, keep in mind that if MAO had not been on the verge of bankruptcy, there would be no Robin. So for me, I hold responsible the people that got MAO to the brink of financial extinction. And that was a steady progression over the course of 30 years, where each new leadership team took the program further down. The demise of MAO started under Leonard Horn, when all aspects of talent and onstage beauty were ignored, while they crowned interview queens, who were going to testify before Congress. While amateur talent programs were exploding in popularity, MAO was having women in evening gowns talking about death statistics associated with all of societies ills, and people just scratched their heads and tuned out. | Of course we could blame Mallory for blowing the whistle on Sammy. But his scandals both past and present have tainted the image of MAO to an extent that Gretch and Regina never quite achieved. Regardless of his ability to get back to AC and a TV deal, they way he led, the vindictiveness with which he treated ANYONE who offered credible challenge and the very obvious contempt he held for the contestants ushered in a season where knee-jerk leadership changes were made resulting in lack of agency and input from Directors and volunteers and a complete abandonment of Miss America's identity.
