I accept the scoring system and the top 15 it produced. I feel strongly, however, that each phase should be judged as it's own competition and not have other areas bleed into the scores for that phase. NE not winning talent is an injustice, made even more painfully obvious when she performed after the top 12 and blew them all (except NY) out of the water. Give NE that moment with her well-earned prelim award. If she doesn't excel in the other areas, that's fine; but I just can't wrap my head around her not winning that award. I am glad she was able to perform on Saturday night. I imagine that meant a lot to her. -- Miss Volunteer America Pageant
