A long time poster on this forum here, and also a Dad from the UK. Yes, attitudes to spanking of children are not what they could be here. Like you, I favour a carpet slipper when giving a spanking - after a warm-up with my hand. Makes for a memorable stinging good hiding but no lingering marks on the miscreant's bottom. My slipper is a large leather-soled one specifically for the purpose of spanking.

May I ask how old your two daughters are, and if you and your husband put the girls across your knees when a spanking is deemed necessary?
