 Today was a big day towards finally becoming a spanking mom!

I didn't want to officially tell my kids about the new discipline situation until I was ready to actually spank upon misbehavior. And I was convinced by Julie, Mary, and Becky that my first spanking needs to be the real deal. A simple hand spanking will not be good enough for my kids at their age. So I needed to get a proper spanking implement ready to go. Julie uses a wooden hairbrush and it seems like most of the other moms on this forum also use a hairbrush as their preferred implement so I decided to do the same. Earlier I was thinking of ordering a hairbrush online but that might take a few days for it to arrive and I didn't wanna wait any longer. Julie suggested we visit some antique stores in town this afternoon where we should be able to find a suitable hairbrush that can deliver a sound spanking to a naughty bare bottom. She also said these brushes are usually better for spanking than newer modern brushes anyway. The older brushes tend to be firmer and sturdier as though they were made with this disciplinary dual purpose fully in mind!

It took a bit longer than expected to finally head out into town because Julie got sidetracked with a spanking she needed to give her 14 year old daughter but we eventually made our way together into town and checked out a couple different antique stores. We looked at a handful of different brushes and tried some test smacks against our palms to get a sense of which brushes had the sharpest bite. We eventually settled on this one nice cherry wood hairbrush that closely resembles Julie hairbrush in terms of both shape and feel. For the most part I am happy to follow Julie's lead and since she seemed to think this particular brush was the right choice, that was good enough for me. When paying for the brush I got the sense that the clerk understood my intentions for this brush had nothing to do with brushing hair. She didn't say anything but she clearly saw us perform those palm smacks with several different brushes and it wasn't hard out to figure out what we were up to.

Later on in the evening I finally had the chat with my two kids about the dramatic change in discipline that was about to begin. I explained that I was not very happy with how they've been responding to my usual methods of timeouts, lectures, and taking privileges away so things are going to be very different around here. From now on when I'm unhappy with their behavior, I'm not gonna take their electronics away and force them to sit and do nothing in their room for a while. Instead I will be giving them a hard spanking. I wasn't sure if they understood what a spanking actually is so I felt I needed to give a step by step explanation. I explained that I will take off their pants and underpants, place their bodies over my lap with their bare bottom facing upwards at me, and then I am going to smack their bums repeatedly, first with my hand, and then with the back of this wooden hairbrush (as I showed them my new brush for the first time). I also explained that these smacks are not going to be light taps, rather they will be very hard and will make them cry. I don't think they fully comprehend just how unpleasant this punishment is going to be and it won't really sink in until they experience it first hand for the first time.

So the new regime has officially begun. I have no idea when I'm gonna administer the first spanking but I feel both very nervous but also excited for it. Julie tells me she doesn't think it will take very long at all. We will have to wait and see. Wish me luck!
