Subject: Fitness is a judged category and it has nothing to do with size,(imo). I have attended a lot of locals this year and regularly see contestants on stage wearing something they should not because it doesn’t fit well. This is not about body shaming, it’s about appearance, confidence, and proper wardrobe. For example, Diamond is not a “stick figure” but that girl rocked every fitness competition I saw her in this year because she picked appropriately sized Rebel wear, wears it confidently, and looks like she is enjoying her fitness walk (more inside).

If I can see the outline of your belly button through your interview outfit or gown, or if you ordered a size too small in your rebel outfit which causes your skin to spill out over it, that does not look good and if audience members notice this, you can be sure that judges will notice this too.
All of these candidates need have someone on their side that is honest enough and cares about them doing well to tell them the truth when their wardrobe has flaws. It doesn’t matter if it’s a family member, trusted friend, or someone they hire, body acceptance does not equal a license to look sloppy.
