Well, since you've done the 20-pin mod and do indeed have ruled out the 575 board, I'm thinking that there is something else wrong with the analogue board mod. Do you hear the "crackle" that the tube makes when it charges during startup? If not, I think it's a power issue--check your solder connections and tracing cuts. If the tube does indeed charge, make sure that 1) all the cables coming from the tube are indeed connected to the analogue board (I know it's obvious but just check it again to be safe and minimize torn-out hair) and 2) the wiring from the logic board connector to the a/b connector is secure.

If worse comes to worst, try to "undo" the hack and see if the machine boots with video (using the stock CC board).

Incidentally, I had a similar problem to this when I was building a PCC and it turned out to be the wiring between the l/b and the a/b. Sometimes cramming all the extra wire and junk can loosen a wire or two (or three, or four, etc.).
