Subject: Re: 6500/6400 motherboard musings - on a memory linits
In reply to: John Stocker 's message, "6500/6400 motherboard musings" on 15:17:09 01/09/02 Wed

About memory limits - as soon as every DIMM is limited to 64 MB (giving us 128 in total) - then may be there's a way to extend 6500/5500/6400/5400 memory beyond that limit. The problem I think is how to stick more than 2 memory DIMMs on a board. I was wandering if it would be posssible to make something similar to PCI raiser but that will fit into memory slot and having several memory slots on a raiser card itself. That will allow to stick more than two DIMMs (if it's physically possible).

Any comments?

Alex
