The yellowish tint is probably due to a failing solder joint on the blue electron gun circuitry; check the CRT-end video card for cold solder joints. If you find any solder locations that look less than pristine - bad ones often look like a human nipple, whereas good ones usually don't have any breaks in the silver-coloured surface - get a desoldering tool of some sort, suck the solder off the joint(s), apply new flux, and resolder the connection(s). I had this same problem, to the extent that the blue gun died completely, when I first performed the modification, and after checking for bad solder joints, finding one, and fixing it, the blue now works perfectly.

As Stuart said, you'll need to do a LOT of adjustment to the horizontal positioning (not the horizontal size; you want the adjustment marked HW on the back) to get the screen to look normal.
