Fascinating!

We both have the identical problem. Your experience dissauades me from following up the remote possibilty that switching from SCSI to IDE would solve it - and the SCSI works with 5200 and 6500 boards - but not 5400 and 6400.

The 'theory of the week' is that it might be a 3.3v problem, since the 6500 boards can generate their own 3.3v supply, but 6/5400 boards can't.

Have you a 3,3v supply installed? Have you checked it out?

TIA,

Stuart.
