Unfortunately by 17 yr old son was the first one to get a spanking in the New Year. He went out on a date on New Years Eve. I extended his curfew from midnight to 1am. He told me he was joining another couple for dinner and then going to a friends house for a party. He told me that it was being adult supervised.

He got home at 1:45 and I could tell he had been drinking. I had a few friends over so I did not want to discipline at that time. I just told him to go to bed. I was a little embarrassed for my friends to see him in that condition.
The next morning, I woke him at 8:00 to get ready for church service. I said nothing to him as I wanted to check out a few things. I saw his GF Parents and asked them when she got home, were they still up. They informed be that she had missed curfew and they also could tell she had been drinking. The Mom said that she will have problems sitting oncw they get home. I told them my son would also.

Once home, I told the kids to get out of their Sunday clothes and come and help with breakfast. My daughters and youngest son showed up and helped with breakfast. I walked to my oldest sons room and he was sound asleep. I went and called the parents of were the party was and asked them if they knew about the party and that some of the kids were drinking. They knew nothing of the party. So I thought to myself, he missed curfew, he was drinking underage and he lied to me.

I went and grabbed the paddle, and went straight to his room. I woke him up, made him stand up. I told him he was not only getting a sound paddling but he was also getting his mouth soaped. While standing in front of me, I lectured him about his disobedience. I helped him over my knee while he was pleading. I gave him a good hand spanking which brought tears. I then stoold him up and walked him to the bathroom where I soaped his mouth. Back to his room and over my knees again for a good dose of the paddle. he was sobbing when the spanking was over and went staright to the corner. I told his to just meditate on his disobedeience.

I went back to his room thirty minutes later and we knelt down and prayed. He asked for forgiveness and then apologized to me asking me to forgive him also. Due to the nature of his disobedience, while still kneeling, I handed him his rosary and told him to say the beatitudes while saying the rosary.

Unfortunately he started back to school today and will have problems sitting. I am sure some of his friends will also. I am praying that now that my children are all teens, that spankings will be decreased immensely this year.
