We have three boys and my husband is the designated spanker, although the boy will have to wait for him to get home from work to receive his punishment. Sometimes it's a bit of a wait, and when I know he's going to be late, I will put the boy on my lap and give him a nice long warmup right then and there. I know I'm not as good at spanking as my husband, but the warmup serves to address the behavior at the moment and "set the table" for later. Bottom stays bare until the main event.
