After dealing with a few issues when ours were really little, we decided we would not allow it in future, used to warn them they were on thin ice before i had to say they were getting one at home when out.

If it is someplace and its dead, like NOONE is around and less risk of busybodies, ive used a family restroom, espec. when a bit younger.

But usually if out and behavior is an issue. we stop, I kneel down in front of them take their hands so they look at me and say "we are having a one on one when we get home"
and then go about our trip, usually with me still firmly holding their hand. I dont say "if you dont stop we will have a one on one"

They know that means a talk and a spanking.
