Since you posted a link to this forum on my forum, I thought I would take a moment and come and say hi!! I have been meaning to do so for awhile now, but alas, the Christmas season is a busy one!! Kristina, I think you have created a great little space here!! It is a difficult thing to talk openly about corporal punishment on the internet and not come under ridicule at times. I myself have come under attack by trying to run a balanced forum, that is open to many ways of thinking. My own personal beliefs are more in line with your own, that kids do need discipline when they are growing up, and I do think, if done correctly that spanking can play an important role in that. I don't think it should be the only tool in a parents too chest, but it can be effective, to be sure, when used appropriately!! I myself, was raised in a Christian home, with two loving parents that were somewhat strict at times. My brother and I were both spanked in our adolescences until maybe early teens. It was rememberable and unpleasant, but nothing too severe. Mostly just over the knee spankings with a hand on a clothed bottom. That might not sound like much, but they left an impression on me and my brother. When I started my own forum, it was in order to create a safe place for people to talk about spanking. Mostly it has been from the perspective of the ones being spanked, but a few parents did appear from time to time too!! For the most part, it has remained a good, safe place for people to share their memories, recent spankings, thoughts, advice, etc. We have had conflicts from time to time, with one of the more recent ones taxing my own personal limits. A couple of ladies even separated from us to create their own 'anti-spanking' forum. Now, I never had any problem with them being opposed to spanking, but when they starting attacking others on the forum and becoming quite hostile, then I knew things had to change!! Kristina, I see that you have already gained a good following on this forum and that is great!! While their are other forums out there for mothers who believe in spanking, I don't think any have done so with a more Christian based focus. I do like to see that many have said that spanking is not the only tool they use and it is often a last resort for some. I do have some questions I would love to ask you, if you are willing to indulge me at some point. As someone raised in a Christian home, I promise to do my best to keep my questions respectful!! At any rate, I wanted to pop on and say hi, and wish you success on this new forum of yours. I wonder, would you be willing to let me post a link to this forum on my Let's Talk Spanking blog? I would love to highlight it as a great source for parents that want to raise their kids in a Christian home with good values. I like that you have a place to highlight favorite verses from the Bible too. Anyways, all the best in this forum, as give a safe space for others with similar ideals to share with each other!!
