Glad to have found this forum and looking forward to posting here and learning about you all and your families.

My situation is a bit nuts I'll admit. I have seven children I am raising. Four of them I gave birth to, and three I have taken in for various reasons I won't get in to now.
They are:
My children -
Madison (19)
Katherine (17)
Ian (11)
Natasha (10) - my goddaughter who I have had since she was 4
Hannah (9)
Abby (6) - Child of an old friend of mine, have had her for about a year and a half
Hailey (5) - my niece, have had her since she was about 14 months

So, yes, it's a crazy situation but I do have help. My oldest has been a godsend with helping with the little ones. She was actually Abby's babysitter before I took Abby in, and she sort of functions as Abby's second mom almost.

That said, I don't think I could make it work without strict discipline and plenty of spankings. The oldest three don't require many these days - my oldest two have mostly outgrown it, and Ian, the odd boy out I'm pretty sure was born age 35. He is the easiest one by far to deal with.

That said, the four younger ones get their fair share, sometimes more than their fair share depending on the day or week, especially the two youngest.

I've actually moved towards being stricter as I've gotten more experienced as a mom. I started real discipline at an earlier age with each successive child. One of the things I've learned is that even the little ones can handle far more than most would expect. Even a two year old can take a quite sound spanking and be just fine within a short period of time. They aren't that fragile, really.
